The story of the Celtic Trinity Knot began centuries ago in the pages of illuminated manuscripts of Irish monasteries. This decorative knot is now a recognized symbol in Irish culture and design with many different interpretations. Among the most popular meanings, Trinity Knot may represent: 'the past, the present and the future', 'abiding love' and 'mind, spirit and body'. It also represents eternity, continuity, no beginning no end. The number 3 is significant in ancient Celtic art, so the trinity knot and Celtic trikel spiral hold so many possible representations that are perfect for meaningful gifts.
