Ardmore is located in the parish of Lispole in West Kerry. The Ardmore stone was discovered during excavation in 1978. The stone features a richly decorated Greek cross relief, set in a round panel. The arms of the cross consist of double bands; at the end of each arm the decoration spirals outwards to meet the spiral from the adjacent arms. The Ardmore stone has some similarities with the Killmalkedar Stone. This stone is one of the finest and most beautiful of those found on the Dingle Peninsula.
Engrave with Ogham:
Make it extra special - Our handcrafted pendants can be engraved on the back with your name in the original Ogham script - Ireland's first known written language. This script is made of linear markings, each set of lines corresponding with a letter. Engrave your name or a special word up to 12 characters.
This unique piece of history comes with a leaflet to explain the history of the original Ardmore Stone and a leaflet to explain the custom Ogham inscription. It has been Irish hallmarked by the Assay Office at Dublin Castle. The pendant comes presented in a beautiful Brian de Staic display box.
