The 'Crann Beatha', meaning 'Tree of Life' in English, is a design made up of trinity knots, representing past, present and future.

The symbolism of the Celtic Tree of Life is about the forces of nature combining to create balance and harmony. The Celts believed that the Tree of Life was a symbol of longevity, wisdom and strength

The story of the Celtic Trinity Knot began centuries ago in the pages of illuminated manuscripts of Irish monasteries, The Book of Kells. This decorative knot is now a recognized symbol in Irish culture and design with many different interpretations. Among the most popular meanings, Trinity Knot may represent: 'the past, the present and the future', 'abiding love' and 'mind, spirit and body'. It also represents eternity, continuity, no beginning no end.

This beautiful Crann Beatha pendant is crafted in sterling silver and 14k gold. It has been Irish hallmarked by the Assay office at Dublin castle and comes on a standard 18 inch chain. It is presented in a beautiful Brian de Staic display box.

Please contact us at info@briandestaic.com if a longer length chain is required. An additional charge will apply.
