To preserve the luster of your sterling silver or gold jewelry, avoid exposure to household cleaning products, bleach and other strong chemicals.

We recommend customers bring jewelry in at least once a year for a full professional clean and polish.

Items worn regularly should be cleaned and checked every few months. This is especially true for engagement rings but applies to all regularly worn pieces.

The Story:
The ecclesiastical complex at Killmalkedar or the Church of Maolchaodair is one of the most fascinating collections of church sites and remains in Munster. This stone, which has long attracted the interest and craftsmanship of Brian de Staic is found near the chancel arch of the church. From the analysis of the style of the inscription, it has been suggested that it may date back to the second half of the 6th century.
Kilmalkedar/Cill Mhaoilchéadair was a very important monastery in the early medieval period, not least because of its situation on the pilgrimage route, Cosán na Naomh (the Saints’ Path), which continues on to Mount Brandon. Although it began as a monastery, probably similar to that at nearby Riasc, it became the wealthiest parish in all the diocese of Kerry in medieval times and many reminders of this wealth can still be seen there today.
Engrave with Ogham:
Make it extra special - Our handcrafted pendants can be engraved on the back with your name in the original Ogham script - Ireland's first known written language. This script is made of linear markings, each set of lines corresponding with a letter. Engrave your name or a special word up to 12 characters.
This unique piece of history comes with a leaflet to explain the history of the original Alphabet Stone and a leaflet to explain the custom Ogham inscription. It has been Irish hallmarked by the Assay office at Dublin castle. The pendant comes presented in a beautiful Brian de Staic display box.
