THE STORY:
'Breacadh an Lae', meaning 'the first light of the dawn' in the Irish language, is one of Brian de Staic's best-selling collections. These unique pieces of jewellery are inspired by the winter solstice at Brú na Bóinne, Newgrange. Since 3,200 BC the rays of the rising sun enter the roof-box once a year to illuminate the inner chamber. This collection of 3-dimensional spirals, inspired by the carvings of this magical and ancient site, took years to perfect. With special and careful technique, we offer a beautiful line of jewellery that beautifully attracts the light like the rays of the rising sun in Newgrange.
This stunning pendant has been Irish hallmarked by the Assay Office at Dublin Castle and is presented in a beautiful Brian de Staic display box.
