The Story:
Cumann na mBan is an Irish republican women's paramilitary organisation formed in Dublin on 2 April 1914. In 1916 it became an auxiliary of the Irish Volunteers and played a major role in the 1916 Rising, and the subsequent events after. With famous women, such as Countess Markievicz as members, celebrate women's influence on Ireland's independence with this brand-new piece of jewelry from Brian de Staic.

This beautiful Cumann na mBan brooch is crafted in sterling silver. It has been Irish hallmarked by the Assay office at Dublin Castle and comes presented in a beautiful Brian de Staic display box.
